T. gondii tachyzoites were prelabeled with a fluorescent monoclonal antibody
against the major GPI-linked surface protein, SAG1, added to glass coverslips
precoated with bovine serum albumin and warmed to 35oC. As the parasite underwent
circular gliding, the trail of fluorescent antibody deposited at its posterior end
was recorded using a Dage VE1000SIT camera mounted on a Nikon Eclipse E400 microscope.
The sequence is played back in real time; the parasite is ~7um long.
